This unique New Zealand pōhutukawa design consists of a basic tea cosie made with doubled 8ply yarn using a very simple 12 row pattern. The additional pōhutukawa flowers and leaves are created as separate pieces. With the cosie placed on the tea cosie, the pieces are each pinned, then sewn in place. There are illustrations provided to assist with sewing the flowers and leaves in place.

Materials:
2 x 50g Main colour
1 x 50g Contrast colour (red)
Sml amts of light & mid green 8ply
4.5, 3.75 & 3.25 mm needles, a wool needle for sewing and scissors.

One size pattern to fit:
4-6 cups, 1-1.5 litre teapot.

The teapot featured is a six cup or 1.2 litre teapot.
